Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

TSIPL endeavours to be a Responsible Corporate Citizen, by nurturing human values and by demonstrating our commitment to the society where we reside. We believe that the success of any company is measured by how effectively it has made an effort to facilitate inclusive growth by giving back as much as possible to the society within which it exists.

Growing together is our vision. We work for the development of our host community by bringing about a positive change in the lives of people around us through the following:

  • By providing facilities for Education, Health & Sanitation.
  • By conserving and developing their socio-cultural values.
  • By identifying their inner potential and making them self-reliant.

It is the company’s intent to make a positive difference to the society by improving the quality of lives of the people in the communities around our manufacturing locations. It is company’s express belief that Industry derives many contributions from the society and therefore it is imperative that it reciprocates by working for inclusive and equitable growth of the society through creation of sustainable livelihood for society, which in turn can foster long-term sustainability & competitiveness of its business.

We shall endeavour to integrate our business values and operations to meet the expectations of our stakeholders which include Customers, Employees, Investors, Supplier, the Community and the Environment.

Hence our policy shall aim at:

  • Pursuing the strategy of aligning our CSR programs with the corporate values of TSIPL.
  • Undertaking such CSR programs which are in the economic vicinity of our operations with a view to have long-term sustainability of such interventions.
  • Contributing to sustainable development in areas of Preventive Health and Sanitation, Livelihood and Income Generation, Waste Resource Management and Water Conservation for the host community.
  • Encouraging the development of Human Capital by providing Vocational Training, Promoting Education amongst children, youth & women through development of new educational tools.
  • Collaborative partnerships with the Government, district authorities, village panchayat, NGOs and other like-minded stakeholders.
  • Sustaining & continuously improve standards of environment by maintaining quality of Soil, Water & Air.
  • Promoting & encouraging the socio-cultural values of the community by preservation & development of their Heritage, Art & Culture.

Evaluation:

The basis of evaluation shall be:

  • Monitoring of CSR Programs/ Activities by the CSR Committee.
  • Measuring the impact of CSR Programs/Activities undertaken, in terms of beneficiaries covered and objectives served.
  • Monitoring the utilization of funds allocated for the CSR Programs/Activities on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • A quarterly review of such CSR activities at the Top Management Level.

Budgets:

A specific Budget shall be allocated each year for CSR activities.

Dissemination of Information:

The company’s engagement in CSR programs shall be disseminated on its website, annual reports & in-house journals.

The Board of Directors, Management and all our Employees share the philosophy of inclusive growth and care. TSIPL stands committed to the social and economic development of the communities where we reside in.
